Performance sailing and adventure!

Sail the Whitsunday Islands on board former racing yacht, Southern Cross, for an exciting sailing experience on an America’s Cup racer!

Southern Cross has a myriad of winches and sailing gear and guests are encouraged to assist sailing Southern Cross, including hoisting and trimming sails, or taking the helm to steer her around the islands.

Southern Cross is one of the most comfortable maxi charter yachts sailing the Whitsundays Islands, she has ample head room throughout the yacht for taller guests and plenty of space to enjoy a meal together. On deck there is ample space to relax, and there is a boom awning for shade when anchored.

Perfect for getting everyone together to watch the sun going down with a drink at the end of the day!

You will need to check-in for Southern Cross at least the day before departure. Your check-in information will be provided to you when you book your tour with us. At the check-in you will pay any outstanding balances and receive your boarding pass. You will also have a comprehensive briefing detailing what to bring on your trip and where and when to meet the crew.

It's Tour Day! Check your boarding pass and that you have everything you need.

Let's Go!Your Whitsunday adventure begins!

Southern Cross will depart Coral Sea Marina and set sail for the Whitsunday Islands. With no set itinerary, your skipper is free to take you to the best spots for the wind and tides but usually Langford Reef and Bali Hai (Black Island).

You’ll stop to snorkel over beautiful fringing reef, amongst hundreds of colourful fish of all varieties and perhaps even a turtle!

Sit back, relax and enjoy a great lunch prepared on board for you with local fresh produce.

Returning to port, take in the beautiful sights of the islands unwind and watch the setting sun with new friends and a glass of wine while building some wonderful memories to take home with you.
