Important Information Before Your Skydive
Experience the ultimate adrenaline rush with Skydive Australia in Airlie Beach, offering tandem skydiving adventures with spectacular views of the Whitsunday Islands.
Departure Location: Whitsunday Airport, Air Whitsunday Road, Flame Tree, Queensland.
Jump Heights: Up to 8,000ft and 15,000ft options available.
Experience Duration: Allow up to 4 hours for check-in, safety briefing, aircraft preparation and your skydiving experience.
Minimum Age: 16 years. Guests under 18 require a parent or legal guardian present to complete the necessary consent forms.
Weight Requirements: Guests weighing 94kg or more, including clothing and footwear, may incur additional surcharges and must meet the operator’s safety requirements. Maximum permitted weights vary depending on conditions and instructor assessment.
Transfers: Complimentary transfers are available from selected Airlie Beach locations. Pickup details must be confirmed when booking.
Weather: Skydiving is weather dependent. Your jump may be delayed or rescheduled if conditions are unsuitable.
Itinerary
Check in! Let’s get the paperwork out of the way
You will need to make your own way to the Shute Harbour Airport located in Flametree, just 10 min drive from Airlie Beach. A bus service is also available. Upon arrival you will be greeted by a friendly team member and after a quick check in, you will be given a briefing of your tandem skydive and fitted with your tandem equipment.
Depart Whitsunday Airport – The adrenaline rush of your life has started
After settling into the aircraft with you experienced tandem master we depart on climb to your jump height.
Take in the breathtaking views of the famous Whitsunday Islands as we climb to altitude.
We are at jump height – Time to hook up to your tandem master
After hooking up to your tandem master the aircraft door will be opened, Wow!!!
Moving forward to the exit.. a final brief from your tandem master and your out on the thrill of your lifetime.
Free Fall – Head back, arms tucked in and out we go
Feel the wind in your hair as you and your tandem master accelerate up to 190 km/hr. An adrenaline pumping experience as you free fall for up to 60 seconds. When the parachute opens, take in the 5-7 min breathtaking views as you gently float back down to earth.
