A true sailing experience through the Whitsunday Islands on board the luxury yacht Lady Enid. Departing from the Coral Sea Marina North, you are more than welcome to sit back and relax, or join in and learn how to hoist the sails.
Throughout the day, the attentive crew will be at your service, engaging in conversation about the history of Lady Enid and the Whitsunday Islands.
Barefoot luxury at its best, sailing to world famous swirling sands of Hill Inlet, swimming in the crystal clear waters, snorkelling pristine Whitsunday island reefs, beautiful memories will be made.
With a maximum of only 24 guests and three crew at your service, you will want for nothing more.
The gourmet meals are certainly a feature of this Whitsunday experience, including morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. As you sail back into the sunset to Airlie Beach a glass of sparkling and antipasto will be served.
Coral Sea Marina
Departure 9.00am, Check in 08:30am, Return 06:00pm
A courtesy pick up from your accommodation is available between Cannonvale and Jubilee Pocket to take you to the Coral Sea Marina for a 8:30am boarding. If you are staying at an Air B&B outside of these locations we can provide you with the closest pick up location or alternatively you can make your own way to the marina.
Once onboard Lady Enid the crew will show you where to stow your bags and shoes (it’s best to go barefoot on the boat). You will be given an introduction to Lady Enid’s features and a safety briefing while sailing out of Airlie Beach. You are given a courtesy bottle of spring water which can be refilled throughout the day as required. Lady Enid also has sunscreen available if you do not have your own.
Passengers are encouraged to lend a hand heaving on lines or taking a turn on the helm if you so desire. You can freely move around the vessel and take advantage of the cushioned seating. During the passage through the Whitsunday Islands, Lady Enid crew will point out various points of interest and discuss the history, flora and fauna of the Whitsundays for those who are interested.
Lady Enid offers a variety of teas, coffee or hot chocolate. A selection of mini muffins and fresh buttermilk scones served with jam and cream. A fruit platter will also be served before reaching Whitehaven Beach.
Lady Enid will typically arrive at Tongue Bay (adjacent to the famous lookout at Whitehaven Beach) late morning. Enjoy an easy walk to the Hill Inlet Lookout to take in the view, then continue down to Whitehaven Beach to relax on the soft white silica sand and enjoy the shallow aqua waters of one of Australia’s most famous beaches. We return from Whitehaven Beach around 1pm for lunch onboard.
Lunch
• Bread rolls with butter or olive oil
• Salads – zesty quinoa, roast pumpkin and pumpkin salad, contemporary kale slaw, and a green salad
• Meats – charcuterie selection of spiced chicken breast, roast beef, cured meat, along with salmon and prawns.
• Selection of condiments
On completion of lunch you’ll sail to an island snorkelling site. Snorkelling is optional and guests not taking part in snorkelling can sit and enjoy a cool beer or glass of wine from the bar. You’ll spend approximately 40 minutes at the snorkelling site where you can explore the diversity of corals, fish and colourful marine life that call the Whitsundays home. All snorkelling equipment is provided including wetsuits if required.
After snorkelling we set sail for home at Airlie Beach. Afternoon tea will be served en-route to Airlie Beach. This is not just a sail back to port but a tour of the Whitsunday Islands; the views of the Islands are breathtaking. On arrival to the Port you will be escorted to your courtesy bus to take you back to your accommodation to look back on a great day out with Lady Enid.
