There is so much to see and do on Apollo, the trip is extended to 3 days and 2 nights of complete adventure, fun and incredible experiences while you sail around the Whitsundays on an ex-racing maxi yacht!
Apollo offers an exciting itinerary of 3 full days and 2 nights, with more destinations included than many of the other trips around the Whitsundays. Explore the lookouts at both the North AND the South end of Whitehaven Beach, with views that will take your breath away! Enjoy a fun and social atmosphere with a maximum of 27 passengers on board and 3 experienced crew who will ensure you have the trip of a lifetime!
The trip begins at full speed as Apollo races her way across the Coral Sea to it’s first destination. As a renowned boat with a fantastic racing history, Apollo offers a genuine sailing experience to her passengers.
Each destination on Apollo’s itinerary is as amazing as the last, and with all snorkelling equipment included, passengers are able to experience some of the best sites around the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. Those who want to explore the water from above can also utilize the paddle boards provided and glide over the amazing fringing reefs at their own leisure.
Back onboard Apollo, enjoy freshly-prepared meals by the crew, curl up with a book, socialise with fellow guests and enjoy a drink out on the deck – the perfect way to end a day in paradise.

All items taken on board should be packed in a small soft bag with no zippers.
- Apollo has a BYO policy for all soft and alcoholic beverages (No Glass or Red wine). No drinks are for sale on board, so don’t forget to bring what you’d like to drink.

Important Notes
- Must pack into a small soft bag (no wheels)
- Bedding options – shared single (has double beds, can request however no guarantee).
- Guests must be 16+ years old and travelling with a parent/guardian.
- Guests are required to reconfirm their booking with Whitsunday Sailing Adventures no later than 72 hours before the tour departure time.
- Closer to the departure of your tour, you will receive an email with instructions on how to complete your waiver. We require each guest to fill this out no later than 48 hours before the tour departure time.
- Dietary requirements Vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian, gluten-free, dairy/lactose-free can be catered for. Vegan, gluten-free and dairy/lactose-free will incur a $10.00 (per night) surcharge payable on check-in. Please note, that we are unable to accommodate Halal and Kosher requirements.
- Please note that guests must be 16 years old or older to travel. Guests under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult guardian.
Itinerary
Check In! Let’s get the paperwork out of the way
You will need to check-in for Apollo at least the day before departure. Your check-in information will be provided to you when you book your tour with us. At the check-in you will pay any outstanding balances and receive your boarding pass. You will also have a comprehensive briefing detailing what to bring on your trip and where and when to meet the crew.
It’s Tour Day! Check your boarding pass and that you have everything you need.
Check your boarding pass and be at Coral Sea Marina by the meeting time. Please don’t be late!
Let’s Go! Your Whitsunday adventure begins!
Apollo will depart Airlie Beach and set sail for the Whitsunday Islands. With no set itinerary, your skipper is free to take you to the best spots for the wind and tides.
You’ll stop to snorkel over beautiful fringing reef, amongst hundreds of colourful fish of all varieties and perhaps even a turtle!
You’ll take a walk to Hill Inlet Lookout where you can take in the stunning views of Whitehaven Beach and Hill Inlet’s famous swirling sands, as well as spending time on the beach to explore, swim or take in the sun with a good book.
In the evening, your skipper will find a calm anchorage so you can enjoy a restful night’s sleep after an action packed day. Unwind and watch the sunset with new friends and a glass of wine, while your hosts prepare a hearty meal for you.
The next day, get up early, watch the sunrise and enjoy some breakfast before heading off for another day full of new adventures, followed by another night under the stars.
After a morning snorkel, you’ll start making your way back to port, taking in the beautiful sights of the islands and building some wonderful memories to take home with you!
